I would really like to know. I am thinking about going to school for graphic design. I need to know if animation is part of the same thing.
Do these two subjects have something to do with the other? Or do I need to take two completely different classes.
Please let me know. Websites will help too.
Im a graphic designer and a plastic artist, and you see animation on graphic design but in a different way more business oriented more for selling purposes. But of course you can use the tools and skills you learn at Design( which are great) and use them on animation. It helped me study graphic design to find better ways at marketing my paintings. And i also got some jobs at doing graphic novels. But there are schools in which the main focus is animation.
As far as i know,
Cartoons definately arent fine art do i guess that only leaves design.

take animation you can minor in graphic. You will learn more programs in animation that will make you a hotter commodity to the job market when you get out. Make sure you learn web also
I took Cartoon classes when I got my Graphic Design degree. Also Illustration, design, typography, photography, etc...
yes animation is part of graphic design

And if you are a Pittsburgh lover with a lot of skill, you should try CMU, although there program is pret
