I'm studying to be a graphics design major ... currently I am getting my gen. studies and as much art out of the way at a local college, before transferring. Now I am faced with the question of which school to choose... I don't mind moving, I am actually looking forward to it, but I want to choose a school that will best prepare me for the type of work and circumstances I will experience when working out on my own. Any insight will be helpful and appreciated.

Thank you ! It's more about the teachers. Get a number of schools that you are interested in and go tour the campus and meet some of the teachers. Sit in on some classes. right now i go to Clear Lake High School and im in a class called engineering grafics its a grate class for that you draft sketches of like things colage level lol i love that class i have a lot of fun in it mainly because i really like doing that kind of stuf :D Check out online schools. My girlfriend's is a very busy lady and she's learning all the techniques and software. She loves it! any art school....i go to the art institute of pa look for something like that they have a few around the usa im going for interior design and i love the courses there.hope this helps where are you moving to? because you could search: 'art/ graphics design schools in _____' Graphic design schools. you dont want to get art out of the way, you want to dive right in, right? there are a lot of private art schools out there. consider going to a portfolio revue day at one for a picture of it. most of them mean business once you get there. check to see if all or any of your 'local college' credits will even transfer to the one you pick. in my case they didnt. good lucks! yay 2points! The University of Cincinnati has an outstanding graphic design pDesign work, design a picture
