I was thinking changing course because my current IT course is boring, I realised I took the wrong course and now I am thinking of changing course.
I do care a bit about the money as I am engaged, so I am just asking here to see whether it is easy to get a job in that field.
I have good skill in photoshop editing, lightroom, 3d modelling, Photography, so I think it would be a good field to go onto.
With relevant skills and however much IT study you have under your belt, it shouldn't be too hard.... once you get your foot in the door. Make sure you have a good strong portfolio, print and online, and see if you can make it stand out. Most agencies get stacks of applications all the time and aren't wild to take risks on people without experience. You have to be persistent and willing to do pretty much whatever. Since you don't have studio experience, you could look for a job as a junior and be really good and not too arrogant, and you'll get experience. You won't make as much money as in IT because it's perceived as a more glamourous field and competition is strong to get into it (which will seem really strange once you've been doing it for a while).
You can also try temping. Or if you change courses and graduate with a certificate in graphic design, your school should be able to help with leads/recruitment.
Sorry, wish I could help with Austrailia.
It is fairly easy to get a job in the states in Graphic Design if yo
